More about the
CD...
Mandy’s debut CD, “What
Christmas Means to Me”, is a compilation of jazz, country, rock,
and a little Motown. Typically known for singing backup on other independent
projects, she decided it was time to put her own stamp on her favorite
secular music.
Joining Mandy on this CD are several local
celebrities:
-
Milo
Deering, who can be heard on all of LeAnn Rimes’
country albums, a veteran of Austin City Limits, David Letterman
and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, plays acoustic guitar and fiddle
on “Silent Night”. Milo is also a member of “Beatlegras”,
a highly-acclaimed musical group infusing bluegrass, jazz and classical
styles into the legendary music of the Fab Four.
-
Three-time Grammy® nominee
Dave Alexander is
Mandy’s duet partner on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”.
Dave has performed and recorded with the biggest names in country
music such as George Strait, Toby Keith and LeAnn Rimes, while carving
out his own stellar career in the music industry. Dave remains one
of the nation's top selling western artists, and can also be heard
across the country on a nationally syndicated radio program as guest
host of "The World of Western Swing".
-
Shining on those saxophone
solos, Pete Brewer
is a Dallas-area mainstay of jazz music. In addition to playing
with local big bands, orchestras and small jazz groups, Pete has
also been a valuable woodwind player with The Dallas Summer Musicals
Orchestra and The Dallas Symphony Pops Orchestra. In this capacity,
Pete has accompanied many featured artists, including Rosemary Clooney,
Mel Torme, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Natalie Cole, Harry Connick
Jr., Bernadette Peters and Patti Austin.
